This morning, we met together with this group of amazing people who all came out to play football in our annual Turkey Bowl. It's a tradition a few years old, but one that I look forward to each year.
We had a great group of kids from our youth group there, as well as students from our college group and many students that were home from college as well. It's amazing to see how time goes on, and it's always so great to see how God continues to work in the lives of the students that we've gotten to know over the years.
It was a perfect morning. Christian even got into the action and had a couple of great plays.
He only got hurt once, which is pretty good considering that he was the only 7 year old out there. Thankfully the injury was minor and he was up and running after a cookie to help make him feel better.
It was a pretty awesome couple of games.
And we were all rooting for Sami when she was running the ball for this play...
Till Amber took her out with an amazing tackle.
It was a very fun morning...
Jer did such a great job getting everyone together to play.
Originally, I thought the greatness of this shot was Ellee and her reflection, but amazing things were happening right behind her as well.
It's so fun to see all of the talented kids that are in our youth group, including this one.
We are so, so thankful that God has placed such wonderful people in our lives.
And in an exciting end to the final game, our very own Pastor Charley caught this pass for the winning touchdown.
Ellee got to join in the fun too. Again, another huge blessing and heart of thanksgiving goes out for all of the great kids in our youth group, who love our children and bring them so much joy.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
