Away

Starting today until Christmas Eve, we will be... away.  Gosh, just the sound of it wells up sheer, giddy, excitement within my heart.  Don't get me wrong.  This year, has been good... really good.  I even have proof of it here, where photos and video clips round out how we spent our precious moments this year (actually the last few years have been really, really good...  again, proof found in this 2009 video and this 2010 video).

But with this year's goodness, came an unprecedented amount of crazy busyness.  I juggled roles as a wife, mom, friend, mentor, teacher, director, leader and photographer.  And trust me when I say, it was really, really good.  It was a full life and a full year.  I smile when I think of all of the amazing relationships that I built this year, and all of the blessings that God brought into my life.  I learned so much about my family, my friends and myself.  I shared my heart over desserts and play dates and loved each and every minute of it.

I'm also so happy to share that my photography business was tremendous this year.  God brought the most amazing families and friends into my life.  I was there to capture weddings, communions, birthdays, sports events, school pictures, graduations, and treasured family moments.  This past month, I had a Holiday season like no other.  And I completely thank God for His continued hand of blessing and provision for my business.  He allowed me to develop a talent that I've been able to love and learn and I am so thankful for it.    

However, as the year winds down, I'm ready to be away for a bit.  I'm ready to rest... to relax... to spend pure fun-time with our family.  I'm ready to be away from the computer and cell phones.  I'm ready to be away.
