It started with this button. I thought that it was funny and should most certainly be photographed.
So I brought out the camera, took a picture, and then decided to take a few more.
Every Sunday night, after our evening TAG Bible Study, we meet together with a group in our home that is focused on the college and career age group. Hence, we call it our College and Career Group. It pretty much is open to anyone that is college age or above. And it occasionally includes kids that will be in college some day, like this kid to the right.
We have a pretty fun group that meets each week.
We spend time catching up with each other, praying for each other and then we spend a good amount of time talking about God.
For the past few years, I've led the College and Career group discussions. However, this year, we're trying something a little new. I asked the members of our group if they would be willing to take a week to share something that they've learned about God. Last week, John somewhat volunteered to share first. He put together an amazing lesson on Salmon and the idea of swimming against the current. It was brilliant and we all learned a lot... about salmon and about life.
Today, I continued to capitalize on some great Rite Aid deals that are going on this week. Yesterday I shared how I got $17 in store credit from deals that I had bought. So today, I went back and got all of this. What I love about today, is that I got some things, just because they were on sale, but I also picked up a few things that we had been needing. Like good cereal and Q-tips. I paid a total of $2.14 for everything (which would have cost $43.41 before tax) and then I also got $7.00 back in store credit.
I'm sharing because I'm super excited about being able to save money and get great deals, and also, because I feel that if I can do it, anyone can. I'm not an extreme couponer, though I do enjoy coupons, but I just think that if you can get good things for a great price, it's being a good steward of the money that God has blessed us with.
I hope you're all enjoying your Monday and thanks for stopping by!
