Our Ellee girl is a bike rider. And with warmer weather right around the corner, we are finding more and more days to get outside for a ride.
When Ellee was a toddler, one of our amazing youth group students brought by a beautiful Schwinn bike that he had found for her. I remember thinking that it was such a kind gesture, but at the time, it was hard to imagine her being big enough for the bike. Fast forward a few years to now... and the bike is the absolutely perfect size. A huge thank you to Andrew for being so thoughtful too.
A few weeks ago, we went into Center Moriches, to visit the bike shop there, where we found this awesome set of training wheels. I'll be honest, I'm not in a rush to push our baby girl into riding assistance-free. Like everything else in her life, there will be a time and place. For now though, she dominates.
And she does it in her own typical Ellee girl style.
When I saw this, I wondered if there were laws about five year olds, texting while bike riding?
We had a beautiful afternoon. Ellee took a fun ride to the school, in all her courageous bike-riding glory and it brought me such joy to see her. I absolutley love that our girl loves to ride her bike.
