Family Date Day

Today, I started my morning by meeting up with a friend for a Step Class at the gym.  I'm a huge fan of working out, and working out with a friend is like a double bonus.  We had a great time and it was the perfect way to start out the week.

This afternoon, we decided to have Family Date Day.  Jeremy hopped on his scooter and the kids and I  took the car and we all drove out to Hauppauge.  Now, I'll be honest.  For the most part of our time out here, I have never once had a desire to drive out to Hauppauge.  First off, it bears a pretty unpronounceable name to most.  Secondly, it's about 40 minutes away.  So yeah, I wasn't much of a fan of Hauppauge.  That is, until we learned that they opened up a Chipotle there, which is my all time favorite restaurant.

Ah, Chipotle.  Lunch was absolutely amazing.  I was excited to be told by one of the workers that Chipotle is soon to be opening more restaurants further east.  I'm planning on writing a top ten list for why they should open one up in Riverhead and sending it to the company.  It will probably include reasons such as:

# 9 I promise I will go there every day... or every other day.  And I will tell all of my friends to go there too.

#7 There will be very little opposing fast food competition, unless you include McDonalds or Wendys, which I personally don't.

#5 If they opened one in Hauppauge, they should most certainly open one in Riverhead.  Strangely, the area where the restaurant was was surrounded by a car racing store and a lumber store.  There is a ton of traffic in Riverhead and we also have Tanger so there would be many people to come.

#3  People need access to good food, good service and good restaurants, the same way they need access to other essentials in life, like air and water.

#1  Chipotle needs to come to Riverhead, so Eastern Long Island can partake in what has to be the best Mexican grill food ever.  Granted, that's a personal opinion, but it's also just plain true.

Those are just some random reasons that are floating around in my head, but I'm sure I can easily come up with more.

Back to lunch, we loved it.  Ellee's favorite part was her kid sized bag of chips.

We had a great afternoon together.  We talked and laughed at our sweet girl and her silly faces.

And enjoyed Christian's as well.

Afterwards, the kids and I headed out to the mall, where we picked up a few things and enjoyed Starbucks on the way out.

In a few minutes I'm going to pick up the kids, who spent the last few hours attending VBS at one of the churches nearby.  Even though they had a blast last week at our church's VBS, they were super excited to get the chance to go again this week.  I'm excited to hear all about it.  Hope you all enjoyed your Monday too!
