Bermuda

We spent the last week in Bermuda, and it was amazing.

A week ago on Sunday, after gathering up most of Jer's family, we boarded the Norwegian Star for a weeklong family cruise to Bermuda.  We are big fans of cruising.  There's just something so special about spending a week of absolute relaxation.

In a fun turn of events, Nana and Papa got a super suite room where we all spent many hours enjoying sheer luxury.  They had their own butler and it made the week extra special.

After spending a few days on the ship, we finally reached our destination.  Bermuda was absolutely amazing.  It is quite possibly my new favorite place ever.

We passed quite a few spots like this, which reminded me of our friends the Griffins...  so, I took a picture just for them :)

We spent a lot of time snorkeling.

After talking to a few locals, we ended up in various spots like this.

The kids also had a blast checking out all kinds of fish and underwater fun.

This was our preferred mode of transportation while in Bermuda.

Justin and Heather

And Papa and Nana all rented out scooters too.

In the three days that we spent on the island, we rode all over.

We looked for hidden gems like this one and just took it all in.

The weather was a little ominous,

but thankfully we were able to enjoy many fun times.

One of my favorite parts of Bermuda was the pink sand.

Jer's favorite part by far was the snorkeling.

This trip was extra special because we got to enjoy such fun times with our family.

Since Jer's family is literally spread out over the United States

times like these are rare and treasured.

In a strange turn of events on the last day that we were in Bermuda, a squall came up and the mooring lines that connected the ship to the dock in Bermuda broke free.  Our ship bumped into a Royal Caribbean cruise ship that was also docked in Bermuda, and then floated out to sea.  Thankfully no one was hurt and within a few hours we were back at the dock.  The situation resulted in this line, of hundreds of passengers who had to wait on the dock for the ship to return.

We spent our last day on the ship hanging out and watching our kids perform in a family circus that was put on through the Kid's club.  Christian and Ellee both performed and it was a fun afternoon.

Afterwards, we went out to enjoy the slide and hot tub one more time.

It was a bit colder than when we had first taken off, but the kids still had fun.

All in all, we had an amazing vacation.

The Arizona Herrs

The Seattle, but soon to be Arizona Herrs

Our precious Nana and Papa, whose 40th anniversary was were the main reason for us all getting together for this trip.

I am so incredibly thankful for the precious time that we had all together this past week!
