I love being a wedding photographer. I enjoy capturing the formal shots that will grace fireplace mantels for years to come.
But more and more I'm realizing, that I really, really love capturing the details... the moments of the day that will be what the most precious memories are made of.
I love a pure shot of the wedding dress, before it has the power to turn an ordinary woman into a beautiful bride.
I love shoes. Well, not personally, but I do love shoes that mark moments... shoes that are not chosen for their comfort level, but that are stunning and memorable.
I love capturing the getting ready phase. I love knowing that before everyone was perfectly put together, a mom was needed and bare feet were acceptable.
I love the oohs and ahhs that just seem to seep out at the first look of a gorgeous bride. And on a side note, the bride that I worked with last week, was absolutely stunning.
I love watching independent little ones working carefully to get things done.
And goodness knows, I love this.... simple, sweet and incredibly beautiful.
I love the careful maneuvering that happens when walking around in a wedding dress.
And I love last minute preparations.
I love the feeling that you get right before the bride walks down the aisle.
And I love, love, love a beautiful bride walking down the aisle, on the arm of her proud father.
I love little ceremonies that represent special things and that make each and every wedding unique.
And I love the joy and exuberance that is celebrated as a couple is pronounced husband and wife.
I love a bride that can pose.
And a groom that can command a shot as well.
And I love the energy and connection that comes when getting the formal shots as well.
I love a first dance.
And a darling flower girl.
I love the congratulations of friends.
And speaking of friends, I loved seeing this beautiful group of them.
If you couldn't tell before reading this post... I love being a wedding photographer. I love that couples trust me to capture the many details and moments of their wedding day. I love the amazing people that I've been able to meet throughout the years.
And finally, I love a great cake cutting picture. A huge thanks to Matt and Jennie for allowing me to be a part of what I love!
