It's Okay

Since the beginning of the year, I've been on a bit of a roll with my blogging.  I've been consistent in sharing every day, and have also started up a few projects that have coincided with my blog.  It's not so much that I feel that I have all this wisdom to impart to the world.  It's more that I'm proud of the consistency, and the dedication that I have to expanding, to learning and growing more, in my photography and in my writing.

That being said, today, I did not find the motivation to break out the camera.  I had a few ideas and had wanted to continue to work on my Eastport project.  However, it just didn't happen.  And I decided that it's okay.

Sure, I'm a big fan of doing good things and being all I can be and going forward in life.  But then there are those days, where you just need to stop and take it all in.  There are times when you just need to breathe.  To think.  To be.  And it's okay.

That being said, I thought I would share some pictures that I took of our kids three years ago, in January.  I was at the beginning of starting my photography business, and it was still fun to practice my skills on our kids.  My goodness how time flies!

Christian was only four in these pictures.  And the funny thing is, he doesn't look that much different.

And the crazy thing is, is that Ellee was just two, which I've realized as the years go on is one of the most challenging ages to photograph.  That and it's just a challenging age in general.

I'm looking forward to being back on track tomorrow.  I think that I'll bring my camera for Pioneer Clubs, which always results in fun pictures to share.  I'm also looking forward to my monthly book club, which will meet at 7 at our home.  If you are local, come and join us.  We are going through an amazing book right now that deals with issues of contentment and working through anxiety.  It's been a huge help to me to get together and share with the amazing women who come to the group.
