An Altar

In the Bible, when God did something great in the lives of His people, they would build an altar.  The altar was there to remind them of God's great work... it acknowledged, it gave credit too and it would be a testimony for all those who saw it.

We just returned from our Breakaway weekend youth retreat, and it was by far, one of the greatest weekends of my life.

Not only did I get to spend the weekend with some of my favorite people ever...

I got to see God do a great work in their lives.

I'm exhausted.  But I just feel that it's so important to share...

To give a small glimpse into our weekend.

Because I know that I want to remember all of the great things that God did these past few days.

We had a great time, playing games.

And although there was no snow...

We still enjoyed some fun times on the tubing hill.

Side note:  This beautiful girl is a Senior this year.  This will be her last Breakaway as a student.  We love this girl.

This would be the moment that I almost saw my husband get crushed by the ginormous train.  Thankfully he is quick and was able to get out of the way in time.

Another side note.  This man is amazing.  I love him tremendously.  I'm so proud of all of the hard work that he put into this weekend.  And he's cute.

Okay, so at this point I'm going to stop with the captions.  We have friends coming over for the Superbowl and I'm pretty sure I need to go and have fun with them :)  That being said, these pictures are my altar.  I want to remember this weekend forever.  It was one of the greatest Breakaway retreats that I have been to.  I thank God for His great work throughout this weekend, and throughout the lives of our amazing leaders and students.

Ellee loved Breakaway, and had a great weekend, despite late nights and her "froat" being sore.

Our Seniors... we love them so much, if you couldn't tell.

We celebrated two birthdays today :)

Thanks everyone, for an amazing weekend!
