Today was awesome. Jer preached this morning and did a fantastic job. I love when my husband preaches and am so proud of him. After church, Amber came over and after enjoying a pizza lunch, we set out for some fun shopping.
Our first stop was Rite Aid. I picked up four tubes of toothpaste, two toothbrushes, a bottle of stain remover, and two bags of chips. I spent $19 on everything, and got $17 back in store credit to use for my next visit by combining store offers and coupons. So, theoretically, I paid $2 for everything pictured. Total retail before tax for everything would have been $53.50. I took a picture, because I was excited to share. And speaking of sharing, I gave Amber toothpaste, a toothbrush and a bag of the chips, so they weren't included in the picture.
After Rite Aid, we headed out to one of my favorite stores, Savers. Savers is one of the nicest second hand stores I have ever seen. I found out that they only keep the best clothing that is donated, and the rest they send to third world countries. They are associated with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters program. They have a great selection of quality clothing and I always look forward to finding fun things there.
Today I picked up a pair of jeans for myself (Gap), a pair for Christian and four spring dresses for Ellee. I spent a total of 16.68 for everything, as today was their 50% off day.
I was most excited about this dress. It is a Crew Cuts dress, which is the kid's line for J. Crew. It was priced at $7.99, but because of the 50% off sale, I paid $3.99 for it. It is in perfect condition.
When I got home, I looked up a similar dress on the Crew Cuts website, and saw that it was selling for $58.00. All in all, I was pretty excited about my good deal, and can't wait to see our sweet girl in this adorable dress.
After shopping, Amber and I took a trip to the Westhampton Beach Bakery. We enjoyed sweet treats and great conversations. I got home in such a great mood after a fantastically full day.
And then I realized, that I had washed my cellphone.
I was initially pretty sad about it. I sat for a few minutes and debated on how upset I was going to be about it. And I came to the conclusion that it wasn't the end of the world. So, I let it go. My phone is currently sitting in a bowl of rice, and I'll see if there is any hope for it tomorrow. But if not, it's okay. I have choices... we all do. I chose to let it not ruin a great day, and I feel much better about everything.
Besides all that, this week is going to be amazing. Can't wait to share.
