Children's Ministry Sunday 2012

This morning we celebrated the amazing children who participate in the programs at our church.  In our morning service, we highlighted our Pioneer Clubs, Pioneer Girls and Stockade Boys ministries.

We shared songs, and verses and stories.

Our leaders shared about how God has used them as they've served this year.

I was super proud of all of my Pioneer Clubs kids.

They are so wonderful and they are such a blessing to know.

One of my favorite parts of our service was seeing the Stockade Boys program.  This is the program that Christian will attend next year, and I am so excited for him.  We have some amazing men in our church that lead this group and I know that he will learn and grow a lot as he participates in this program.

One of the boys shared a devotion, and it was so awesome to see this young man and his heart for Jesus.

To close the service, this handsome guy shared a great message about the importance of building a strong foundation for our children.

I love my husband, and it was so fun to see the kids excited to learn more about the Bible story that Jer shared.

To summarize, Matthew 7:24-27 talks about two builders, one wise and one foolish.

The foolish man built his house on the sand.  And when the rains came, and the winds blew, the house fell with a crash.  The foundation was faulty and there was no way that the house could stand strong.  And isn't it true, that in life, if we don't have a strong foundation, when troubles come, we fall with a crash?

On the other hand, if we have a strong foundation, and we give our kids a strong foundation, when the winds and rains come, we will also stand strong.

The illustration was fantastic, and it's one that I know will stick in my mind.  Thanks to everyone who participated in this amazing service.  We are so blessed to be able to be a part of a church that loves and values children.
