In Nine Years, I've Learned...

Today is Our 9th Wedding Anniversary.  And I'm not sure if you're supposed to capitalize those words, but as I look back over the past nine amazing years that we've been married, it seems fitting.  

In nine years, I've learned a lot about love and marriage.  

I've learned that nine years ago, we were really young.

I've learned that having a husband who is a fan of Apple products results in many years of great technology.

I've learned that the man I married is an incredibly athlete.

Which is something that I really admire.

And something that has kept him connected on many levels over the years.

I've learned that my husband is an incredible Dad.  He fiercely loves his kids and they know it.

I've learned that time flies in marriage, and that one day your kids will look like this...

And the next, they will look like this.  

I've learned that my husband is very good at his job.  He is an incredibly pastor and I am so proud of him.

I've learned that I love ministering and working along side of my husband.  I love that we have been able to share in serving over the years.

I've learned that the most important part of our marriage is the foundation that has been built around our love for God.  I love knowing that no matter what the years bring, we will always be able to depend on an amazing God who loves us and who will help us through anything.

I've also learned that my husband looks like he could still be in college with these awesome kids.

And I love that he has had a part in encouraging so many students to love and serve God.

In nine years of marriage, I've learned that money can't buy happiness.

But riding around on this fun scooter can bring many, many happy memories spent with my best friend.

In the past nine years, I've learned that when you find a man who will cook you lobsters,

Take your daughter out on date nights

Go to the store for you to find you shoes that you need and then love you enough to email a picture to you to make sure that they are the right ones.

And surprise your family with a trip to Disney... .. I've learned that when you find a man like that, you marry him and you love him forever.  

I am so incredibly thankful that God has blessed me with such an amazing husband.  In the past nine years, I have learned many things in my marriage.  Most of all though, I've learned that I am incredibly thankful and incredibly blessed to have the man that I do and the marriage that we have.  

Happy Anniversary Jer!  I love you so much.
