Annual Church Picnic

Every July, we host our annual Church picnic.  Our entire church gets together at Miss Connie's beautiful home for delicious church picnic food, games and pool time and we all have a wonderful afternoon hanging out.

This year, I debated on bringing my camera.  During the last few weeks, I've photographed two weddings and had a few sessions in between.  As much as I love taking pictures, I definitely get a little worn out after awhile.

I did however decide last minute to bring it, and I'm very happy that I did because I was able to get shots of some of my most favorite people in the world.

It was a great day for pictures.

Our friend Sean brought his boat by and graciously took many people out for boat rides.

Christian had a blast in the pool.  He's becoming quite the swimmer and enjoyed going on the slide and jumping off of the diving board all afternoon.

I'm pretty sure everyone had a great time today.

Including this buddy, who accurately tells his mom that Ellee's mom loves him.  And he's right.  I do.

A few picnics ago, I took a similar picture to this one, only with a much younger looking Ellee.  And I tried for a good five minutes to find it.  Because I'm a fan of seeing growth and chance.  But I couldn't find it.  Sigh.

Back to the picnic.  I took this shot because it's what we all look like when we do fun jumps into the pool, right?

Just kidding.  I'm sure your jumps look more like this.  Again, mostly kidding.  This is one of the many amazing kids that we have in our youth group.  He also happens to be one of the most talented and agile too.  The most important things about this guy though, is his heart... and he has a great one.

Ellee also spent the majority of the afternoon in the pool.  She's a fan.

She's also a fan of finding cool friends to hang out with, in the pool.

And so she found these ones.  And they were awesome with her.

Some people ended up in the pool involuntarily.  Like this guy.  However, he ended up like this because he also contributed to helping someone else end up in the pool involuntarily.  Apparently at pools, what goes around, comes around.

This was his mom's reaction.

This little one was the granddaughter of the wonderful woman who opened up her home today.  She was so adorable and sweet.

This is a long post.

But seriously, it kind of has to be.

Because this afternoon was filled with amazing feats

Wonderful siblings

This cute guy

And just all kinds of fun from the wonderful people of Eastport Bible Church.

A huge, huge thank you to Miss Connie for letting us come and enjoy a wonderful day!
