A Good 7 Hours

I spent a good 7 hours today at the beach.  Which may seem like a bit much for many, but in all reality it was pretty awesome.  Most of the afternoon was spent with good friends and their beautiful kids down by the bay.  We have a Wednesdays at Webby's group that meets throughout the summer, and it was so fun to hang out this afternoon.  Then, this evening, we headed out to the ocean for our TAG Bible Study Group.  One of our leaders, Mitch lead a pretty fun mixer time in the beginning, which looked a little something like this.

Then we hung out.  

And watched these guys surf.

It was a beautiful evening.

The kids had fun.

And enjoyed watching everything that was going on.

Ellee had a great time with this awesome girl.

And then took a little time to play by the waves.

Nothing beats an evening at the beach.

Surrounded by good friends.

And God's great Creation.

During the lesson time, Christian spent some time reading through one of his library books.  I took the kids over to the Westhampton Beach Library yesterday, and they both signed up for the summer reading program.  It definitely renewed their excitement for reading.

Tonight during our lesson time, we continued to talk through our summer theme of How to Be Rich.  

Tonight's topic was how to be rich towards God with your money.  We passed out verses on the topic and the kids did skits to act out their verses.

It was definitely entertaining.

We also talked about honoring God when it comes to our money, and finished with using the GSL concept when it comes to finances... Give, Save, Live.  The idea is, with all of the money that you get, to give some back to God, who richly provides, Save some to invest in the future, and then to Live on what's left.  

It was a great night, and a huge thank you goes out to everyone who came and helped out.
