Labor Day 2012

Today was a fantastic farewell to a beautiful, crazy summer.

We spent the day at the beach, hanging out, fishing, swimming and clamming.  The kids had a blast running around and collecting jelly fish.

After awhile, they worked up quite the appetites.

So we stopped and took a break for a little lunch.

Our dear friend Dodie brought her kayak and graciously gave all of the kids rides.  Ellee absolutely loved riding in the kayak and even got to paddle on the way back.

There is nothing greater in life, than spending time with wonderful people.

It's also been incredibly fun watching our kids grow up together with their friends.

In a fun turn of events, later in the day, some of the kids decided it would be fun to slide in the sand using the boogie boards as though they were sleds.

Of course there was proper supervision.

And it turns out...

that it was pretty fun.

We spent the majority of the afternoon clamming.  It was incredibly fun and pretty rewarding as we ended up finding quite a few.  Christian had an absolute blast catching fish and learning how to use a cast net.

After an incredible day, it's definitely time for bed.  Happy Labor Day everyone!
