Every week, we spend a considerable amount of time with other people's children.
Case in point, each Thursday night we hang out with an incredible group of teenagers for our Sr. High Youth Group, Revolution.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again.
We love these kids.
We love playing silly Christmas games with them.
We have an amazing group of leaders who help each week. They love these kids as well.
It's an awesome blessing to be able to do what we are able to do.
We get to see the fun, silly side of other's people's children.
We get to play games, where they wrap each other up.
Here's a picture to prove it.
And another as well.
Our kids come with us and they love hanging out with other people's children as well.
These
kids
are
the
best
kids ever.
Seriously, they are.
All that being said, I couldn't finish today's post without sharing the absolute heartbreaking devastation that I'm feeling tonight for the families of Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut. Jer and I were on our way home from lunch this afternoon, when we heard the horrible news of the school shooting and the many lives that were lost. I couldn't help but break down when I thought of those precious little Kindergarteners, especially knowing how precious and dear our little Kindergarenter Ellee is. I continue to tear up as I think of the loss that was suffered today. My heart and my prayers go out to the children, the families, the school and the town that is suffering so greatly tonight. I'm so thankful for the wonderful times that we are able to have with other people's children, and I'm so broken for those families who have suffered so greatly today.
