Round Two

Today we enjoyed Christmas Sunday with our church family.  There is nothing sweeter than worshipping together with the amazing family and friends that we have here in Eastport.  It was my Sunday to teach Children's Church so I had a wonderful time sharing the story of Jesus' birth and doing fun crafts with some pretty awesome kids.  Afterward church, we drove over to the Westhampton Library, to pick up movies and books for fun times over the next few days.  I also stopped in to the Beach Bakery to pick up a beautiful Strawberry Shortcake Cake, which we will be thoroughly enjoyed on Christmas Day.  If anything is deserving of this wonderfully delicious cake, it would be Jesus' birthday after all.

The rest of the afternoon was filled with football and round two of Christmas cookie baking.

We had so much fun decorating Christmas Cookies last night that I thought we should continue the fun, this time with Daddy

And our good friend John, who is home from college for Christmas Break.  Granted, John was technically over to enjoy and afternoon of football, but he was a good sport and joined us for the Christmas cookie fun.

I was pretty proud of this awesome guy and his cookie decorating skills.

He and John worked hard and created some pretty awesome cookies.

Our buddy Zack joined us this evening for the Seattle Seahawk game.  There's been quite a bit of celebrating already and Jer is pretty excited that his team is doing so well.

It's been a beautiful weekend.  I'm so excited for the next few days as we continue to celebrate this beautiful Christmas season.  Tomorrow morning, we will meet up with our youth group for our annual Jingle bowl which will consist of a competitive game of flag football, and not bowling (as some had wondered based on the name).  Eastport Bible Church will be hosting a live nativity throughout the afternoon, and then in the evening we will have our Candlelight Christmas Eve Services, one at 7:00pm, and one at 9:30pm.  These are my favorite services of the year, and if you're local please come and join us for a special night.
