A Pretty Memorable New Years

Today was a pretty memorable New Years Day for some very dear friends of ours.

We've known Mitch for about ten years and Amber has been one of my closest friends for the past six.

We love them both and tonight we had the privilege of sharing in their engagement.

While their group of friends and family eagerly waiting downstairs, they shared precious moments together and this incredibly powerful passage.

And then, in a fun turn of events, he proposed, with a red ring pop (which turns out, was her suggestion).  Rumor has it that tattoo engagement rings and wedding bands are in the near future.

She said yes.

And then we swooped upstairs to catch their reactions, which included a little of this.

And lots of this.

Amber and Mitch, it's our prayer that God will lead and direct you both as you prepare for your marriage together.

We pray that you will build the foundation of your relationship on the amazing love that God gives.

And that in the days and weeks and months to come, you will continually rely on His love and His strength to guide you through your lives together.

We are so excited for you.

With marriage, will come the joining together of these two beautiful families.

Hers.

and His.

And ours... just kidding.  But know that we love you both very much and will be here to love and support you both.

As will all of these fun friends.

Silly faces and all.

Finally, a huge shout out to these sweet friends, who helped create this beautiful evening.  Great friends are not easy to come by, so treasure these two forever, as I know you will.

Congratulations to our wonderful friends Mitch and Amber on their engagement!  Thank you for making this New Years truly special.  We are so excited for you!
