Nothing says "Spring" like softball... Men's church league softball to be exact. Most Monday and Tuesday nights, this is where you will find my awesome husband, and a great group of men from our church. They each take their turn at bat... the anticipation of a good pitch in the eyes of each guy. And then there's the outfield... where open gloves seek to find those high hits to left field.
Tonight, the whole family ventured out to see Daddy play. We enjoyed watching the game. But for me, the best part of softball is the way they close each game, win or lose, with a few songs, and a heartfelt devotion. Tonight, one of the guys shared about patience (which is funny seeing as which I was really lacking it with my son by the end of the game.)
Yes, nothing says "Spring" like softball. And boy, am I glad it's Spring :)
