Treasure...

They say, "One man's trash is another man's treasure."  With that in mind, I spent a good portion of today hunting for treasure.  Apparently people celebrate Memorial Day weekend by having lots of garage sales.  So, Ellee and I grabbed our dollar bill filled purses and headed out.

I do have to say, the majority of sales I went to were pretty interesting.  Lots of old, dusty antiques (as Eastport is the antiquing capital of the world) and lots of scary looking stuffed animals.  There were quite a few where you just wondered why they were asking for much more than what they must have paid for when they bought their random stuff, back in the 80s.  But then, just as we were heading home, we hit the jackpot.  A huge yard sale, full of fun odds and ends, and lots of kids clothes and toys, going for all of 50 cents each!  I found some great clothes for our kids, as well as a pair of polarized Donna Karan Sunglasses and Ellee was delighted with the new ride she found for her doll Emily.

Besides that, I'll be spending my Memorial Day weekend, hanging with the family, BBQing with friends and editing a few sessions including this one...

and this one...

And finally, I'll leave you with a sweet picture of our Ellee girl.  Lauren, from Tutus & Tea Parties sent out a few of these adorable knit party hats to be photographed.  She'll be featuring them on her site soon, but until then, you should totally check out her site and all of the fun things she creates.

Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
