Capturing Moments

Three years ago, I shot one of my first photography jobs with this sweet little guy.

As the years have gone by, we've continued to meet up for photography sessions.

And yesterday, we met again.

He's three now, and as adorable as ever.

I also got to work with his older brother, whom I met years ago when I taught at the Preschool.  This handsome guy is now in first grade, and we had a great talk about the fun things that he gets to do at school.

Have I mentioned that I absolutely love working with kids?  I think that it's one of my all time favorite parts of photography.

Kids are so fun and carefree.  Their main concerns are simple, and they just seem to take life for what it is.

Being a mom myself, I always love a good Mommy picture.  Because for the most part, we moms are always the ones with the cameras.  So when I can, I'm always a huge advocate of capturing a few moments with Mom.

This mom in particular is so incredibly amazing... and quite photogenic too!

It was a pretty awesome session!  When we ended, I took these sweet guys to enjoy some fun treats from the Card Shop, which I've decided should be the official ending to any session that I shoot in Westhampton.  Sure, we could have spent a small fortune in one of the many ice cream shops, but for 85 cents, both boys and their mom picked out a few favorite treats and everyone was happy.
I'm starting to see, more and more, that it's more about enjoying the simple things in life.

One a side note, I just want to send out a reminder that the holidays are coming soon!  If you've procrastinated acting on the thought of getting that treasured "Christmas Card Picture," this is your friendly reminder to schedule a session soon!  Send me an email at lauraherr8@gmail.com and we can pick a date, a fun location, and capture some of those moments that you will treasure forever!
