I'm tired. Granted, it's 1:32am... which could be part of it. But for the most part, it's just been an incredibly busy week. Busy... but good.
Tonight we combined our youth groups. Somehow, we crammed close to 95 people in the church basement to play a game that we brought home with us from Puerto Rico called Ga-Ga. When we were in Puerto Rico, we played Ga-Ga in an amazing pit right next to the Caribbean. Tonight, we set up a makeshift pit with tables which worked pretty well.
The game was a bit confusing to explain at first. But the kids all caught on fairly quickly.
And pretty soon, the competition grew and everyone was in on the fun.
It's amazing what you can do with a little ingenuity and a volleyball.
I stood up on a chair to get this shot, and shortly after, got hit by the ball, right in the eye. For a moment, was I was stunned, as the hit was incredibly hard, but thankfully afterwards I was fine. And the kid in the middle of the Ga-Ga pit? That's our Christian. I can't believe how big he is getting. He loves to play the games, and is really good at most of them.
After game time, we brought the group up for lesson time. Jer taught an amazing lesson on grace and forgiveness. I'm so proud of this man. He works so hard and does such a great job with the youth. He is so smart and funny and I love him so, so much.
After youth group tonight, a few of the girls small groups got together to go to Applebees. I went as a driver and had such a great time with some of the amazing girls in our youth group.
So tonight, I'm tired... but it's for a good reason. God has blessed me with an incredibly full life and I'm so thankful to be doing the amazing things that I get to do.
