With the promise of cookies and hot chocolate at the Westhampton Beach Bakery for good smiles and good attitudes, we set out yesterday, ready to take our annual Christmas picture.
All in all, they were pretty awesome. Granted, it was 40 degrees out, and we did walk all over the town of Westhampton, so there were a few complaints here and there.
But for the most part, they have mastered the art of taking a great picture with Mom.
Christian cheerfully commented that he looked like a Pastor in this one.
It was fun to work with our kids. It was double duty for me... being the anxious parent promising treats for smiles, and also being the photographer working to capture those perfect moments between siblings.
Ellee was so pumped to finally get to wear her Christmas dress. I've had it for months, and without fail, she has asked nearly daily to be able to wear it. It was pretty apparent that she felt so beautiful and so special in it.
Yes... like the many parents that I've worked with these past few months, I can finally breathe a sigh of relief. The Christmas pictures are done. Now will come the fun part of finding the right cards, and hopefully getting them mailed out sooner rather than later. I'll also be taking time to work on our annual Christmas year in review video, which is always a joy to look back to see where we've been this year. Can't wait to be able to share that too!
PS... the cookies and home made hot chocolate at the Beach Bakery was amazing!
