Eat, Drink and Be Merry

Every Sunday night we meet in the church basement for our TAG Bible Study.

Tonight, we kicked off our first group of the year with a little Ga-Ga, a tremendously fun game that we learned on our Missions Trip to Puerto Rico last summer.  Since we don't have the space for a traditional Ga-Ga pit, we improvise... and surprisingly, it works well.

After the game, one of our college students, John took the time to share some amazing things that God is doing in his life.  We absolutely love the students that we are blessed to work with, and are always so proud to see them doing great things.  And John is doing great things.

Tonight was also smoothie night.  So I brought out the Ninja, and whipped up some delicious strawberry banana smoothies for our group.  And I again just have to say, that the Ninja blender has been the best kitchen investment that I have ever purchased.  We use it every day, and it's just amazing.

The smoothies were a hit.

And there is just something so heartwarming about seeing some of your favorite people, all together, enjoying smoothies and learning about Jesus.

Our lesson for the night revolved around the verses surrounding this one.  Out of context, the verse kind of makes you wonder a bit.  In the context, it's a great reminder, to be rich towards God.

It was great to hear the students share their thoughts on the passages that we studied.

They are pretty awesome kids.  In case I haven't mentioned that before.

After our Bible Study, we host a College and Career Group at our home.  We had a great group of 24 tonight, which was awesome considering we still have a good number of students home from college.  It is just such a blessing to see these kids that we knew in Jr. High, now young adults, attending college and finding their way in life.  We talked about God using us wherever we are, and how a little bit of righteousness can go an long way.  They have since left for half-off appetizers at Applebees, which has given me the time to write this post.  Now that I'm about done writing, I'm going to go and "eat, drink and be merry," knowing that this day was pretty amazing and thankful for the lives that we get to be a part of.
