Sticker Time

This morning, she wanted to have sticker time.  So we did.

For Christmas our sweet Ellee got lots of great sticker sheets and yesterday, she spent a good hour cutting them all apart.  Which mostly just ended up in a bit of a crazy sticker fiasco, but she was happy and didn't mind that many of the stickers were now mere parts of what they once had been.

As this morning was a no-preschool morning for E, we had sticker time.  With both of our kids having fall birthdays, we had to make that dreaded decision, of should we send them early or send them late?  It was a big thing for us, as life has enough challenges of it's own, and we wanted both of our kids to be successful in school.  We ultimately decided to send Christian early, and he has done amazingly.  Granted, it's a bit strange to be receiving birthday party invitations for kids that are an entire year older than yours, but thus far he has excelled.  The wonderful parent-teacher conference that we attended last month was such great affirmation that we made a good choice by sending him early.

After seeing how intense Kindergarten was (and for whatever reason it's gotten more intense than when I was in school) and knowing the more laid back personality of our daughter, we decided to give Ellee another year at home before starting her.  Her birthday is 12 days from the official school cut off of December 1st.  So this fall when she starts, she will have the privilege of being one of the older kids in her class, instead of the youngest.  Till then, I've been blessed to have another year of her at home, besides the three mornings that she attends preschool.  And seeing how quickly time goes, I'm thankful for these special times.

We had a great time drawing, and sticking and then creating captions for our pictures.

Ellee proudly captioned the following pictures:

And Mom had fun with her creations too:

Not a bad way to spend the morning at all.
