My Favorite Kind

Today I shot one of my favorite kind of sessions... a photo session for friends.  We've gotten to know this beautiful family over the past few years and they are pretty amazing.  

I mean, they seriously know how to rock a "silly face" picture, amongst many other great things.

These two?  They are celebrating their tenth anniversary.  They are both such amazing people.  He is incredibly smart, and his beautiful wife is one of the most talented, caring, passionate individuals that I know.  I'm extra blessed to call her my friend.  Today, they are celebrating ten full, fun years of marriage.  

Their children fiercely love them.  If you couldn't tell.

And they fiercely, and beautifully love their children.

Their son is smart, fun loving and insightful.  He is one of Christian's good buddies, and he is a great friend.  He is also terribly clever.

And this sweet girl is straightforward, creative, and a great big sister.  On a recent play date at our home, she showed signs of some of her Mama's incredible cake making skills.  Her mom makes some of the most delicious cakes I've ever had.  And this wonderful girl spent a good half hour creating all kinds of beautiful cakes.  Granted, hers were made out of play dough.  But I could see the connection.

Their youngest, is so amazing.  She is one of Ellee's dearest friends.  She is energetic, spunky and loves life fiercely.  She is one of the most compassionate 5 year olds that I've ever met.  And she always brings a smile to my face.

If you couldn't tell, this is a pretty extraordinary family.  They have been a blessing to know and I look forward to seeing all of the amazing things that God does with this family.
