This past weekend, we took this amazing group of students and leaders to Hershey Park.
We stayed at the Highmeadow Campground. In tents. Which was an adventure in itself.
After setting up our tents, we headed out to the park for a preview evening (they let you in the evening before with your tickets for the following day).
We had a great time checking out rides and spending time with friends.
Including this amazing guy, who is heading out to Grace Bible College this week.
It was a great night.
Which was made complete with a fresh bag of Kettle Corn
And this delicious funnel cake... which Jeremy literally stood in line an hour for. Thankfully, it was so good, that it was pretty much worth the wait.
On Sunday, we woke up nice and early to get a great start to our day.
We headed out to wait for the shuttle bus.
And got a few cute pictures while we waited.
I love this man.
He is so cute and amazing and I am so proud of all that he does.
We were so happy to have our friends the Dunns join us for this trip. They spent the day in the park with us and then headed out to drop a car off to their son in Michigan. They are so wonderful, and we love them so much.
After arriving at the park, I took a few more pictures.
Because I love taking pictures and I love these kids.
They are so amazing
and wonderful. Really, they are.
We stopped by to say hi to this handsome guy.
And then spent a full day at our favorite amusement park.
On a side note, Hershey was incredibly busy this year. Which is good, all things considered.
A friend took this impromptu family picture for us. Christian looks so old considering he's only seven.
In one of the stores, we stopped to take this picture for Aunt Leslie, who's a fan of these.
Whereas Christian spent most of the day riding the big roller coasters with his Dad and friends, he did take a little time to hang with Ellee on one of her favorite attractions, straight out of the 80s.
Towards the end of the day, we took a ride on the ferris wheel where we got to check out this view.
Then we went to get a little dinner. And knowing how much I love a good deal, I thought I should share this one. For $13.50 you can get a meal ticket at Hershey Park. They are pretty much good for most every restaurant in Hershey. Including the one where we got these delicious ribs with the most amazing sauce I've ever tasted. Paired up with a little mac and cheese, it was the perfect meal. The tickets also include the Hershey Park's collector's cup. The retail value for this meal would have been $24.44, but was only $13.50. A pretty good deal, if you ask me. And it tasted amazing.
One of our friends got Ellee this bear. She was delighted and it was so incredibly thoughtful of him.
We ended the night with cotton candy. A pretty perfect way if you ask me.
This morning, after breaking down camp and packing up, we had a little free time at the camp. Ellee and her brave friend checked out the pool, even though it was a little cold.
Afterwards, we headed out. We made great driving time and got back around 4:00pm. God was so, so good to bless our weekend and keep everyone happy and safe. Thanks to everyone who joined us for this wonderful trip!
