Savers, Wheat Grass and Mafia

Last night's epic thunderstorm lead the way for an on again, off again day of rain.  Wednesdays are usually our beach days, so plans were adjusted accordingly.  The kids and I spent the morning hunting for bargains at our local Savers.  It was 50% off day, which always makes our favorite thrift store that much more fun.  We walked away with clothing for the entire family, including 15 tops, 3 dresses, a pair of jeans, a pair of dress pants, 4 pairs of shorts, a pair of shoes, a pair of boots, a set of dominoes and a brand new kite, all for $75.  I was incredibly happy with everything that we found.

After our shopping expedition, we met for lunch and an afternoon playdate with some of our amazing friends.  The kids entertained each other and the moms had a pretty great time as well.

Then tonight, in lieu of the rain, we met at church for a game night with our youth group kids.  Since I came right from one of my gym classes, Ellee and I enjoyed a power smoothie on the way over.

We were both pretty amused by the fact that our Green Goodness smoothie contained grass and garlic.  We were also both pretty thankful that all we could taste was apple and kiwi.

It was great to be able to meet tonight, despite the weather, because we were able to see a few of our college friends who are heading out this week.  It's hard to imagine that the summer is almost over already.

Game night at the church consisted of soup,

Hang out time on the sack chairs,

And a few amusing rounds of the game Mafia.

It was a great night

Hanging out with some pretty awesome kids.

There was unity

And bubbles.

And I have to say that I played the best Mafia game of my life.  I ended up in the final three, using distraction tactics, Tanger coupons and my people-pleasing charm.  I'm usually not that great at the game, so I was pretty happy with myself.  It was pretty entertaining, to say the least.  Thanks to everyone who came out for Game night!
