I'll be honest. I was definitely just sitting here watching Ellee's baby dedication video and tearing up at the thought of her going off to Kindergarten next week. She is after all, our baby. Don't get me wrong, I'm super excited for her. We found out the name of her teacher and know that a few of her preschool friends will be in her class this year. We bought a new back pack and talk about school every day. She's all in... and I am too. It just makes me a little sad to think that things will be very different this year without her home.
That being said, I need a distraction, so I will share a quick post about our trip up to the Disneyland of tea rooms with one of our best friends. Yesterday, we drove up to Robinson's Tea Room in Stony Brook with our dear friend Amber.
I don't know what it is about this place, but it seriously brings me so much joy. It's quaint and cozy and just awesome. The food is amazing and we absolutely love it.
Speaking of food, Amber got this delicious sandwich.
While Ellee and I opted for some delicious chili. We followed our meal up with the cinnamon scone... which is my absolute favorite. It was warm and amazing as always. And I was so excited about it, I didn't even remember to take a picture.
A huge thanks to our friend Amber for joining us for a fun trip. Amber is moving to Michigan on Sunday, so it was very special to be able to spend a little time with her before she leaves. We love her tremendously and wish her the very best!
