A Morning at the Aquarium

At the beginning of the year, I made a decision to host a photography session giveaway.  I am so thankful for the way that God has blessed my business so it just seemed natural to want to take the opportunity to share a blessing with someone else.

Last Friday, I had the opportunity to photograph a session with the winner of that giveaway at the aquarium.  It was a fantastic morning and I'm so happy to be able to share a sneak peek of the session.

I met up with this sweet little girl, her wonderful Mom and her grandparents at the Long Island Aquarium.  We started out our adventure by checking out some amazing butterflies in the butterfly room.

There was also a bird room, where all sorts of friendly feathered friends were hanging out.

As we moved on to explore the aquarium, I was so captivated by how intriguing life is to a two year old.

Excitement and wonder captivated every expression of this sweet little one.

Especially when she came to the tank where Nemo was hanging out.

Amazingly, she wasn't even a touch apprehensive when we walked through the Shark tanks.

She enjoyed a close up look before continuing on to explore the rest of the aquarium.

Photographing this session was an absolute delight for me.

There is something so rewarding about capturing the precious expressions of a two year old, amidst the wonder and beauty of ocean life.

It was a perfect morning, and even though my goal was to be a blessing, I feel that I was the one who was blessed by this session.  This sweet little one's Mommy bought me a membership to the aquarium, which was such an unexpected, but amazingly special gift.  She shared that it would be nice to have if anyone else wanted a session at the aquarium.  It was so very generous and sweet.  I'm excited to finish editing through the rest of the session, and cannot wait to share the pictures with this wonderful family.
