Happy Birthday Dear Kate

Christian and Kate have grown up together for the past eight years.  They played together when they were in diapers and of course, I have the pictures that will prove it.

Kate is 8 months older than Christian, though when they were little, she would always take such good care of her friend.  Her mom's favorite memory of them was how even though they were basically the same age, Kate loved to be a little mother to Christian and she would often feed him his snack.

Sure they've had their moments.

But for the most part, even when they were little, they've had a special bond.

And Fall

All they've had to do is call... and they've been there for each other.  One day, I remember overhearing Kate tell Christian, "I have my friends, and then I have my family.  And you're more than just a friend, you're like my family... You're my best friend."

One tradition that we've shared over the years is birthday parties.  

We've always enjoyed celebrating Kate's birthday in February.  

It's been such a blessing to watch this beautiful little girl grow up.

She is so precious to her family, and to ours.

This afternoon, we shared some special time celebrating her 8th birthday party. 

The kids enjoyed some fun crafts... especially Ellee girl.  And Esther :)

And Kate had some new friends to celebrate with her this year.  I will be sharing more about them soon.

It was a beautiful day, celebrating a beautiful girl.  Happy, happy birthday dear Kate.  Thanks so much for letting us love you and share your special day.  We pray that God will continue to bless you in this coming year as you continue to learn and grow in His love!
