Our Town: Island Bead and Jewelry

If you've visited the sweet main street of Eastport, chances are you've noticed this fun shop.  

Island Bead and Jewelry is a beautiful, creatively packed shop featuring a wonderful assortment of beads, jewelry and crafting supplies.  You can purchase pre-made jewelry and gifts or purchase the supplies to create your own personal works of art.  

I've had the privilege of knowing one of the owners, Debbie Foglia.  Her children have participated in many of the ministries in our church.  She is a beautiful, creative and kind person and is very much involved in the every day workings of Island Bead and Jewelry.  

Her shop pretty much carries everything you could possibly want when it comes to jewelry making.

Beautiful jewelry pieces are featured all throughout the shop.  Island Bead and Jewelry also offers an assortment of classes that are open for anyone who is interested in learning a variety of jewelry crafting techniques.  A detailed class list can be found on their website HERE.  

There are many other fun accessories that you can purchase at the shop, including stylish handbags and fun scarves such as these.

The combinations of jewelry that can be created are endless.

The colors and inspirations found in the details of the decorations are something that make this shop so engaging and unique. 

I personally have shopped at Island Bead and Jewelry.  I'm not terribly stylish or cleverly crafty, but I  picked up a kit similar to this one, and was able to make some special handmade gifts for family and friends.    

One other special feature available at Island Bead and Jewelry is found in this fun room located at the back of the shop.

Seeing as which feathers are all the rage these days, if you're looking, you can find a beautiful assortment at Island Bead and Jewelry.

Or, if you prefer, you can just come and hang out in this room.  I did for a few minutes and being surrounded by beautiful and colorful things instantly brightened my mood.
