Since Nana and Papa are visiting, we've enjoyed an awesome week all together.
And on Wednesday, we took a very special trip into the city with the purpose of visiting this place.
This past year, one of our very dear friends Emily gave Ellee one of her American Girl dolls. It was such a special gift and Ellee has really loved her doll, which she promptly named "Emily."
Ellee was delighted when she found out that Nana wanted to take all the girls out to lunch at the American Girl Cafe. She didn't quite know what to expect, but she knew it would be fun and that she got to take Emily too.
We had an absolutely amazing time at the cafe. Emily got her own special chair and tea cup.
We enjoyed all sort of treats along with our meal, including warm cinnamon rolls when we sat down and this fun platter of finger foods.
Ellee made sure that Emily was well fed also.
One of the highlights of our meal was enjoying some fun conversations as we answered some of the questions cards that were located on each table. By the way, Ellee shared that the teacher that she will remember forever is Miss Annie, the preschool teacher that she absolutely loves.
The entrees were pretty awesome too. Ellee enjoyed the mini hot dog and mini hamburger with fries.
And for dessert, we all loved the chocolate pudding flower pots, mini cakes and fruit kabobs. It was an amazing experience and made for such a memorable afternoon all together.
After the cafe, we ventured down to explore the rest of the American Girl Place. This store offered pretty much any and everything that you could ever imagine wanting for an American Girl doll.
Nana treated Ellee's doll to some beautiful new outfits. Ellee and Nana both had a great time deliberating over which outfits to choose for Emily.
They ended up picking a school outfit, a "fancy" dress, a summer outfit and a new set of pajamas. Needless to say, Emily will be styling and Ellee has been having a blast changing outfits and enjoying all of her fun new presents.
Of course when we left the store, Ellee insisted on changing Emily into one of her new outfits.
