Ellee's Preschool Graduation

Our Ellee girl's a graduate.  Tonight was celebrated her Preschool Graduation.

We would have loved to have had grandparents there to celebrate with us, but since both of our extended families are out of state, it was just the four of us.  We cheered on our girl, loud and proud.

And let me just say, with a hint of pride, our daughter was a rock star.  She stood up with her class, sporting a hint of a shy smile and absolutely rocked it.

She sang her heart out to songs like Movin on Up, Just the Way I Look Tonight and Kindergarten, Kindergarten (an Over the Rainbow Preschool Graduation rendition of New York, New York).  She watched her teacher carefully and sang all the words beautifully.

And when Miss Joella called her name, she proudly marched over and picked up the diploma that represented all of the hard work that she put into this amazing year.

By the end of the night, a little silliness kicked in, but all in all it was a wonderful night.

After the ceremony, she posed with some of her closest preschool friends, many of whom will be attending her elementary school next year.

This cute kid kept himself entertained throughout the night by teaming up with a buddy that he graduated preschool with and by eating cake of course.

And this Daddy, was so, so proud of his little girl.  Big smiles, thumbs up, and hugs were poured out all throughout the night.

I am so thankful for this past year.  I'm thankful for all that our daughter has learned and accomplished. I'm so, so thankful for this friend, whom she just built such a beautiful friendship with.

I'm thankful to know that this beautiful girl will be at her elementary school next year, and am keeping my fingers crossed that they may even share the same teacher.

I'm so very thankful for Miss Tabitha, who was a dear friend to our Ellee girl this year.  She always had a kind word, or a sweet smile for our daughter.  We love her very much.

And finally, this year would not have been even close to what it was, without our dear Miss Annie.  I've known and worked with Annie over these past years, and she is an absolute gem.  She loves her students and it shows.  She did an amazing job of teaching Ellee and her friends this year, and words can't express the thankfulness that you have in your heart as a parent, knowing that your child is well cared for and loved.  Miss Annie will forever have a special place in our hearts.

Congratulations to Ellee on her Preschool Graduation!!!
