Saturday

Today we celebrated the graduation of this beautiful girl.

The afternoon included pool time.

And lots of playing.

There was a pretty intense game of volleyball.

And lots of time with friends.

And family too.

It was a great afternoon, complete with some delicious watermelon.

And these fun kids.

 Ellee had an absolute blast.

She made a pretend friend with this elephant, who coincidentally was also named "Ellie."

And she also made a real friend too.

And then she posed like this.  And I realized that I will forever love this picture.

When we got home, my super fun husband decided to make our first summer campfire.

Ellee showed off her firefly catching skills (and boy does she have some pretty amazing skills).

And we listened to this song... because it just made the most sense.

I took this picture, because I love this guy.  Tremendously.

And I roasted a nearly perfect marshmallow.

It was a great night.

And it also included this...  which was probably inspired by the time we spent last night watching our DVR'ed episode of the June 15th airing of the man who walked across Niagra Falls.

This was the result of Ellee and Christian's firefly catching efforts.

And this was the sad face that our sweet girl gave us when we told her that she couldn't keep them.

All in all, it was a pretty awesome day.
