Next week, our church will kick off the beginning of another year of children's and youth ministries. During the school year, we run programs for children in Preschool all the way up to students in college. The programs that our church offers includes Kids Club, Pioneer Girls, Stockade Boys, Jr. High Youth Group, Sr. High Youth Group, and College and Career Group. Our church also runs a Good News Bible Club at Eastport Elementary.
For the past four years, I have been privileged to run the Pioneer Clubs program, which this year will be called Kids Club. Every Wednesday, from 4:00pm-5:30pm I get to hang out with some of the most wonderful kids on earth.
We have a great time, singing songs, playing games, doing activities and learning a story from the Bible. It is a beautiful thing to share with children that they are special, that God loves them and that they can do great things.
Sometimes we also let them wrap people up like mummies, which is always a fan favorite.
My husband Jeremy and I, along with a team of amazing, amazing leaders also spent our Thursday and Friday nights hanging out with and encouraging teens.
We play games, get great encouragement from the Bible and meet together each week in small groups where the students are encouraged and challenged.
We also run a variety of activities throughout the year, including Girls and Guys nights
Picnics and Dinners
And Flag Football too (to name a few). We also offer our weekend Breakaway retreat, missions trips and a variety of other activities that teens can participate in.
Then on Sunday nights, we meet together with college students and young adults, in our home. Again, there is a lot of learning, discussing and encouragement all around. It's a bit of a theme.
I'm sharing this information because in our community, Eastport Bible Church is a place that loves and values people, from the youngest to the oldest. We believe that God loves us and wants to do great things in our lives. And so from a young age, we teach that and continue to encourage it through all ages. This post is informational, but it's also an invitation for you, in our community, to come and join us. I'm going to include our weekly schedule below. If you have children that would love to be a part of any of our groups, please don't hesitate to bring them. In a fun turn of events, we will actually be hosting a Kick Off Event from 4:00pm-7:00pm this Sunday at Eastport Bible Church to celebrate the beginning of another year of ministry. There will be food, games and a night of entertainment. There is no cost for this event and we would love to see you there!
