My older sister Leslie lives in Michigan. She is pregnant with her 7th baby and is currently Super Mom to six beautiful children (ages nine and under). Her house is always clean and she makes good chocolate chip cookies. She is great at online shopping and she has a beautiful heart. We stay close through a wonderful thing called Skype. It allows me to see my many nieces and nephews and allows her to keep up with Christian and Ellee.
Each night, before bedtime, I try to do a little devotion with our kids. It's a good time to connect with them, to share God's love with them and to encourage them. Tonight however, was extra special because Aunt Leslie ended up sharing a special devotion time with our kids over Skype.
She read some Bible verses to them and then told a story that they listened to intently.
She asked them a few questions and then prayed with them before they headed up to bed.
It was pretty awesome and special. Since our family is literally scattered all over the United States, it's always good to take advantage of ways that we can connect. And while sometimes I just think of how crazy technology is these days, in many ways, and ways such as tonight, it's also pretty amazing. Thanks so much to Aunt Leslie for sharing a special time with our kids tonight!
She is amazing and I am so grateful for her friendship and godly encouragement!!!! So neat! Thanks for sharing Laura!
