Girls Night

Tonight we had a Sr. High Girls Night at our home.  We all crowded around the smaller, more cozier section of our uniquely long living room to talk about the things that Sr. High Girls love to talk about most.  It was amazing and inspiring and pretty awesome.

"Too Awesome" in fact.

It was an extra special Girls Night, because these two amazing young women led the group and guided the discussion.  A few months ago, they approached me with the idea of leading a Girls Night and I was pretty ecstatic.  When you are blessed to be working as a Youth Pastor's wife for the past nine years, and you have students that you have worked with, come up to be leaders in youth group and then ask to led a night like tonight on their own... well, it's kind of like life comes around full circle.  It's possibly one of the greatest accomplishments that one can make in ministry.  Needless to say, I was pretty proud of them, their wise words and their beautiful hearts.  They did an absolutely beautiful job of presenting truth and encouraging our students to bring honor and glory to God in their dating choices.

The night was a great success.

The girls were challenged to set standards for dating, think about purity and find contentment in trusting God's plan for their lives.

I absolutely love these girls and the fun faces they give whenever I bring my camera out.  Speaking of fun, girls night was definitely just that.  It's always great to get together with this amazing group.

Thanks to everyone who came and was blessed by this special night.

Thanks for the great conversations, the good food...

And for those of you who were rocking the footie pajamas.  You know who you are.
