An Appointment

This morning, we had an appointment with Dr. Lorenzo Gamez and it was pretty much awesome.  Granted, Jer's ankle is still broken which isn't great.  But we felt really comfortable and confident with Dr. Gamez and now we have a good plan in motion.  As of now, Jer will have surgery sometime next Monday.  He got a new splint and the go ahead to carefully attend our Breakaway youth retreat this weekend.  That was a HUGE answer to prayer!

He also got this guy.  A knee scooter that will take his mobility to a whole new level.  If you know Jer, you know he's a fan of scooters in general, so this was perfect for him.

He thankfully also got a new prescription for pain medication that will hopefully be easier on his stomach than the last one was.  I filled and picked it up from my all time favorite pharmacy.  I also used sales and coupons and picked up three DiGiorno Supreme Pizzas for $3.00 and then got $5.00 back to use on my next purchase... which will probably be three more pizzas.  I'll pay $5.00 out of pocket, and then get another $5.00 back.  It's just too much fun to coupon when you get deals like this.

This afternoon, our dear friend Esther dropped off some cheer in the form of sheer deliciousness from my favorite bakery.  Jer was sweet enough to share.

Anyhow, just wanted to share our updates.  God is so, so good and we are really thankful for all of the good news that we got this morning.  Some additional good news was hearing that my Dad is having his dialysis port removed today and that he and my Mom will head home tomorrow!

Thank you all so much for your continued thoughts, prayers and support!
