The City

This weekend Jer and I are taking a trip into the city.  

Since moving to New York almost nine years ago, we have enjoyed visiting the city.  We've taken many ministry related trips in and it's always been a fun place to bring friends and family when they have visited.

We've gone in the day and stayed through the night.

We've taken many trips to visit this pretty lady.

And once spent an afternoon with these fun people.

I've visited the city while pregnant with Christian (pictured) and Ellee.

We've brought family to shop for goods on Canal Street.

And paid good money for great frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity 3. 

During one visit we got to see this couple, who paid $1000 for this dessert.  Is it just me, or don't you kind of feel like they should have gotten a little more for their money?

Finally, one of my favorite stops in the city has been this candy store.  It's quite possibly one of the greatest candy stores that I've ever visited, and Amber and I had a great time checking it out one year when we went to the city for my birthday.

All that being said, I'm really looking forward to this weekend.  My goal is to eat lots of good food, and to just spend some quality time with my amazing husband as we check out one of the great cities in the world.  I will look forward to sharing more about it when we get home on Sunday :)
