It's been a busy weekend. Today alone, I had a Spin class, a beach photography session, Christian's soccer game, and a birthday party. Speaking of birthdays, today is my sister Leslie's. She's the one with 6 kids with one on the way. She's Super Mom and her house is always clean too. A huge Happy Birthday to her and her amazingness.
Back to the weekend. Amidst all that, I've been half occupied with trying to prepare for the apparent hybrid hurricane/nor'easter/snowstorm that is heading towards us. Earlier this week, I bought myself the most adorable pair of shiny black Hunter Rain boots. Not really so much because of the storm, but more just because I've always wanted a pair. I've tried to buy "storm friendly" groceries, and I stopped by Costco this evening, only to see a sign that simply stated "No Water." It made me wonder even more what's in store for us if the mighty Costco had completely sold out of their many pallets of bottled water. However, since I've been repeatedly comforting my kids (who are also a bit concerned) with the fact that the Bible clearly states that Jesus controls the winds and the waves and He also tells us not to worry, I'm going to try to take my own advice as well. And I'm going to try really hard to stop obsessively checking weather.com for updates.
Since I don't want to focus on the weather, I'm going to focus on these two. Their names are Chris and Anna. Chris was a huge part of our youth ministry last year and we have known him for quite awhile.
Chris and Anna both attend Grace Bible College and were home for a visit this weekend.
In a fun turn of events, they recently got engaged and asked if I would take their engagement pictures while they were home.
Of course I said, yes. Because they are super awesome and I'm a big fan of getting to capture the special moments in life.
Before our session, Jer and I had lunch with them at the Diner. We laughed and talked and got to listen to their story.
Having known Chris for years, it was fun to get to know the sweet and beautiful girl who has captured his heart.
Congratulations on your engagement, Chris and Anna! We are so excited to see the great plans that God will have for the two of you as you seek His will together!
