Tonight

It's been raining.  A lot.  Had I grown up in Seattle, like my awesome husband, I supposed I'd be used to it by now.  But I didn't grow up in Seattle.  I grew up in Michigan.  Home of six month winters and snow drifts as big as your house.  That being said, tonight, we searched for indoor fun and enjoyed taking a family date to the library.

This sweet girl picked out a few books and then checked out the section where they have these cool mini video players that you can watch your favorite books on.

They're called Playaway View and she absolutely adores them.  Except for the Crafty Kids Series: Cool Characters player.  She told me that it was creepy.

I wasn't sure what she meant, till she showed me the front cover.  And then I totally agreed, it was a bit creepy.  Needless to say, she picked out two other ones.

I seriously contemplated getting this book, because I thought it would be nice to see if Geoffrey could predict something other than rain.

Jer had a blast at the Book Sale Section of the library.

I'll be honest, there were quite a few gems to be found, including this one.  Because who wouldn't love a movie called "My Left Foot" about life, laughter and the occasional miracle.

While waiting to check out, Christian sat down to look through one of the books that he got tonight.  My son takes after me in that he loves to read and I am super, super proud of him.

And that was our evening.  Now that we're all stocked up on books and DVDs, we'll be prepared in case the rain decides to stick around.  Oh, and before I finish, I thought I would leave you with a sweet picture that Ellee drew tonight for her homework.  In case you were wondering, we proudly celebrate Christmas, complete with lots of flowers and Baby Jesus.
