This afternoon, we had Kids Club and I got to hang with some pretty awesome kids.
During the month of January, we've had a smaller group of students and leaders. Lots of kids have been out sick and a few of our leaders had schedule changes. Whereas I do miss the fun that a big group brings, it's been nice to connect more with the smaller group.
Side note: Kids are awesome. They really are. They bring me so much laughter and joy and I love, love, love their expressions.
As evidenced by the picture above and this one.
We do opening circle and then our Bible story time at the beginning, so it's pretty difficult to get pictures during those times, seeing as which I lead them. However, during game and craft time, I have a little more freedom to break out the camera and capture sweet moments.
We are just about halfway done with year and it's been really encouraging to see the growth that has been made with students and leaders.
We have a good number of students who will be moving up to other programs next year, so I'm trying to do all I can to really make the most of the time that we still have with these ones.
Oh, and I just have to say that I absolutely adore this little guy. Seriously, he is so wonderful and I tell him ever chance that I get. He brings me so much joy and I love having him join us for Kids Club.
Moving on, in honor of the nice snow that we finally got, we did a snowman project this afternoon.
This particular moment was so very sweet to me. My dear friend's son was hanging out with us today and I just love that he is always so kind to our Ellee girl. He helped her finish up her project and it definitely brought me joy to see the two of them work together.
I'm thankful for a great afternoon at Kids Club. And I also wanted to mention that I talked to my Mom this morning, and received some good news. My Dad was scheduled for dialysis today, but a doctor came in and told them that some levels were good and that he wouldn't need to do the dialysis. It seems like it's a pretty good indication that his kidneys are starting to do what they need to do for him to recover. They will hopefully be going home soon, so I just wanted to share that God is so good and continues to work to heal my Dad. Our family is very, very thankful for all of your thoughts and prayers!
