Just words...

Tonight I thought I'd just share a few words, because its 12:54am (technically morning) and it was a full, but exhausting day.  One of the boys in our youth group told me that when he checks out my blog, he only looks at the pictures, so sorry Steve-O, this post isn't for you.

Today was better.  Amazingly, Jer swore off the pain medication, because it made him feel pretty bad, and he did quite well today.  He was able to think more clearly, not feel sick to his stomach and his pain was moderate.  I think it might be because I prayed really hard, but either way I was thankful.  We went out to Target today, to get groceries before the big snow storm that is heading our way and then stopped by Taco Bell (Jer's favorite, not so much mine) for a quick lunch.  I got two side orders of rice, and it was tasty.  Well, as tasty as rice from Taco Bell can be.

A dear friend dropped off dinner tonight, which we shared with a few other friends that were hanging out.  Then we headed over to the church for our senior high youth group.  I brought my camera, and had high hopes of getting some fun shots, but it didn't happen, and I'm okay with it.  Jer hopped on his knee scooter and scooted around like a champ.  I think it was good for his heart to be around the amazing students and leaders that we get to see each week.  In a fun turn of events, I taught the lesson tonight. I figured I would step up to help while Jer is recuperating.  We talked about love, because its February and all.  I think it went well.

All in all, tonight was really good.  I'll admit, the past few nights, I've laid in bed exhausted and slightly discouraged.  It's difficult seeing Jer in pain and super tiring figuring out how to get everything done under the circumstances.  Tonight though, I'll head to bed, knowing the things are looking up.  I'm still amazed that Jer had such a good day, sans pain medication and I'm thankful that everything worked out with youth group tonight.

Tomorrow, well today, we are supposed to get a nice big blizzard.  We are in the foot to foot and a half line of snowfall.  Thankfully, we are stocked up with food and supplies,  I'm hoping it won't be too bad, but will look forward to sharing more about it soon.
