We are home. Safe and sound, and probably not the same, but in a good sense.
It was one of the best Breakaways that we have ever had. The students and our leadership team were outstanding. The worship team and the speaker were powerful. The weather was fun and for the first time in the past ten years, we have a super beautiful sprinkling of snow falling softly as we gathered for our big group picture.
I am so excited to share more about our weekend, and I will in the next few days. As for now, I'm half watching the Superbowl, half listening to the friendly sports banter between brothers (Justin is here with us tonight and will head out to Boston tomorrow morning) and half planning for Jer's big ankle surgery, bright and early tomorrow morning. Granted, I know that there is no such thing as three halves, but it's been a pretty crazy week and I'll work on my math skills once life settles down a bit.
If you would, could you please pray for Jer tomorrow morning. Please pray for his surgeon, Dr. Gamez. Please pray for a successful surgery and an effective recovery. And please pray that we will fully depend on God's healing and strength in the days and weeks to come, as Jer recovers from his ankle injury. I will share updates as I'm able.
